Tarantula-Saloro

ICAMCyL

The requirements

ICAMCyL is a non-profit organization specializing in research, development, and innovation in strategic sectors such as mining, advanced materials, Industry 4.0, and the circular economy.

The European project TARANTULA focuses on the sustainable recovery of critical raw materials from secondary sources, such as mining and metallurgical waste. One of the key sites for this project is the Saloro mine in Salamanca.

This audiovisual project required us to emphasize the efficiency of the recovery processes, environmental sustainability, and the ability to implement these technologies on an industrial scale. Additionally, it needed to show how these solutions contribute to the competitiveness of the European mining industry.

Our approach

Our approach for this project was to develop an animation video that effectively highlighted the technological innovations and benefits of the TARANTULA project in general, and more specifically regarding the Saloro mine in Salamanca.

After an initial phase aimed at thoroughly understanding the project's specifications and the key objectives that ICAMCyL wanted to communicate, we moved on to its realization, using 2D animations ("motion graphics") to visually convey the metal recovery processes in the mine, emphasizing the efficiency and sustainability of the new technologies implemented. These visuals were complemented with captions to facilitate the understanding of key ideas, technical features, and benefits of the TARANTULA project.

The strength of animation lies in its ability to simplify and clarify complex processes, making them more accessible and understandable for a diverse audience. Additionally, this type of 2D animation allows for more agile and flexible production, facilitating the incorporation of changes and adjustments as needed by the project.

The outcome

The final result is an informative video about the technological innovations and benefits of the TARANTULA project and its application in the Saloro mine.

These visual contents help position our client as a leader in sustainable solutions for the recovery of critical raw materials, showcasing how their project can significantly improve the sustainability and competitiveness of the mining industry.

We are proud to have contributed to the promotion of the TARANTULA project and look forward to continuing our collaboration with ICAMCyL on future visual projects.
